Logan Paul, the social media star, has signed a contract to join WWE. Having previously appeared in WrestleMania and WWE Smackdown, the digital content creator and influencer will now be a WWE Superstar, performing at multiple events through the next year.

The 27-year-old shared photos of his visit to the wrestling entertainment company headquarters, where he is seen with Triple-H and Stephanie McMahon, who took over as CEO when father, Vince, stepped down amid allegations of misconduct

Apart from the news of joining, Paul also picked out his next opponent, sending a message to The Miz. He said “coming 4 u @MIZ”, to the fellow WWE star he partnered with in WrestleMania. At the Showcase of the Immortals, Paul and the A-lister had teamed up to take down the Mysterios, only to see Miz drop him with a skull-crushing final shot.

The Miz has already announced that Paul will make his comeback on July 30 at the WWE SummerSlam.

The news of Paul’s signing comes days after WWE made another major move, bringing on Valerie Loureda, the MMA star. She said, “I am honoured to become the first Cuban-American woman in history to sign with WWE”, adding, “I will be the greatest female sports entertainer of all time, mark my words. I come from a family of immigrants, now it’s my time to represent our Latino culture. I was destined for this. Thank you for this opportunity.”

Paul rose to fame from the Vine app, which is now defunct, and made a transition to YouTube, becoming rather controversial there. He’s also had some boxing experience, squaring off against Floyd Mayweather in a pay-per-view event. He also had a few rounds with British YouTuber KSI.

Jake Paul, his younger brother, has also taken a run at boxing. Logan has been on television as part of game shows like Fox’s ‘The Masked Singer‘, where he appeared as ‘Grandpa Monster’. Earlier this year, Paul teamed up with Arnold Schwarzenegger to promote a slap-fighting tournament.
