Lollapalooza’s 2022 flagship U.S. version is just around the corner, with the four-day music festival set to be held at its usual location in Grant Park, Chicago from July 28 to July 31. Some major acts like Metallica, Dua Lipa, Green Day and J.Cole are set to take the stage at the annual musical extravaganza this year.

Set the stage
The entire four-day festival will be featuring eight stages in total- Bud Light Seltzer, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Discord, BMI, Kidzapalooza, Solana X Perry’s, Coinbase and T-Mobile.
When and how to catch the headliners
Although more than 170 acts will take to the stage this time at Lollapalooza, fans will be eagerly waiting to see the headliners in action. Heavy metal legends Metallica will be performing on July 28th at the T-Mobile stage from 8:15 PM CDT.
July 29, Friday, will witness rapper-actor Machine Gun Kelly headlining the Bud Light Seltzer stage from 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM CDT. Pop sensation Dua Lipa is set to perform on the say day at the T-Mobile stage 8:45 pm onwards.
Hip-hop fans are set to have a blast on Saturday, July 30, when German-American rapper J.Cole ends proceedings for the day from 9 PM. He will follow another hop-hop superstar, Big Sean, who is also set to perform a one-hour set on the same stage from 7 PM to 8 PM.
Punk rockers Green Day are the festival headliners for Lollapalooza 2022. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers will be seen in action at the T-Mobile stage from 8:15 PM on July 31st.

Ticket details
Fans willing to catch all the action at Lollapalooza 2022 can go for the still-available four-day general admission ticket for $300. Bundled tickets are also available for the concert, with prices ranging from the 4-Day General Admission+ ticket for $650 to $4200 for an elite viewing experience that will include lounge access, prime viewing areas, merchandize, spa, and other perks. Children aged 10 or below can attend the festival for free, with each ticket-holding adult being allowed to bring a maximum number of two children.
COVID-safety protocols
Unvaccinated patrons are being asked to wear masks for all festival days. However, the same is not mandatory for others. Vaccination proofs are not required. Just like most major festivals, guests will have to wear their official wristbands to be allowed entry.
Words of caution
Fans planning to attend the festival should keep in mind that the gates will open at 11 AM and close at 10 PM on all festival days. When it comes to harassment of any sort, Lollapalooza has a zero-tolerance policy. Festival authorities are encouraging patrons to contact them if any such issues arise.
Moreover, smoking of all forms, including vaping, will not be entertained within festival premises. Outside food and drinks, as well as any illicit substances also have no place at Lollapalooza 2022.
