In the first season, the French series begins with a story about a noble thief Assane Diop, who is inspired by the adventures of Arsene Lupin. The series revolves around Assane’s decision to avenge a wealthy family for his father for an injustice. And that’s how Assane turns into the most famous thief in France.

In season 2, it was shown that Assane somehow manages to save himself from the authorities and has asked his wife Claire and son Raoul to meet him at the bridge where they decided on their son’s name. He further announced that his fight against Pellegrini was over.

However, after reuniting with his family, he realises that he was the cause behind his family’s problems and that he should go away. At last, he promises his wife saying, “I’ll be back. You won’t be seeing me, but I’ll be watching over you. I love you, both.”

This forthcoming season is the follow-up to Lupin season 2.
