Margot Robbie is currently busy promoting her new film Babylon, where she stars alongside her Once Upon a Time in Hollywood castmate, Brad Pitt. At a recent event organised by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), Robbie revealed that she had to consume tequila while filming a nude scene with another OUATIH star, Leonardo DiCaprio, when the duo worked together for the first time in Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street.

Robbie said that her nerves were taking the better of her before filming the scene, and thus she had to intake some liquid courage to go on with the performance. Her comments at the event were, “I’m not going to lie, I had a couple of shots of tequila before that scene because I was nervous…very, very nervous”.

“Honestly, I know it sounds silly now, knowing how big the movie became, at the time I thought, ‘No one is going to notice me in this film,'” Robbie said about her character Naomi Lapaglia in the film. She went on to add, “It kind of doesn’t matter what I do in this film because everyone is going to be focused on Leo [DiCaprio] and everything”.

However, The Wolf of Wall Street became a turning point in her career. Robbie has since gone on to become a tour de force in Hollywood, taking on a variety of characters and doing them justice with her regular panache.

In a recent cover story with Vanity Fair, Robbie said that she was not sure whether to continue her career in Hollywood after The Wolf of Wall Street. She had even told her mother that she wanted to quit, but was advised that it was too late already.

Babylon is set to hit the theatres on December 23, 2022.
