If there is one thing the Met Gala can guarantee is an evening full of glamour and fashion, and that is undeterred by a few celebrities pulling out last minute. This year’s event too has seen some backouts, while others went ahead to confirm their presence.

Organisers of Met Gala 2022 said that the guest list has not been pushed to the pre-pandemic levels and will host nearly 400 people, the same as the September event.

So, who is in?

American singer Katy Perry has already confirmed that she will be present at this year’s Met Gala. However, she will not be picking her usual offbeat outfits and is “going to play a different card”, Page Six reported.

Megan Thee Stallion went one step ahead. The singer not only confirmed that she will be attending the exclusive event but also revealed she will be sporting a Moschino design.

Media reports have also suggested that most of Euphoria’s cast will be present at the event. These include Maude Apatow, Hunter Schafer, Barbie Ferreira, Maude Apatow, Alexa Demie and Angus Cloud.

And, who is out?

Out of the many celebrities that may pull out of the event this year, the most heartbreaking name on the list is going to be Zendaya. With her brilliantly crafted outfits absent this year, her fans are going to miss Zendaya sorely. 

Even though it is just speculation for now, Rihanna may not attend the Met Gala this year as she is pregnant and is close to her due date. But you never know what Rihanna can pull off.

Singer Dua Lipa also may not be able to attend the Met Gala 2022 as she has a show in London that very night, however, no confirmation has been given so far.
