The role of Denver has been played by Spanish actor Jaime Lorente, who is one of the most recognizable TV personalities in Spain. He plays a flammable character in La Casa De Papel, and has had an influential role from the very first season. He isn’t the smartest character on the show and life would have been really difficult for him if not for his father’s guidance in the first couple of seasons.

His distinct laugh does not stop ringing in the viewer’s ears for days. It is so recognizable that Netflix decided to make a compilation of his laughter.

Denver’s life has been a roller coaster. He had a difficult childhood with a criminal father and would often get into trouble. He joined the heist to be able to pay debts to a drug lord and he ended up making a ton of money and finding the love of his life.

The last thing one would expect for a guy like Denver, who plays a dumb character and is the man with the muscles, to have a beautiful and loving relationship with Monica. Meeting her changes him and he goes to great lengths to save her life even after being ordered to kill her. The start of their story is as tragic as a Shakespearean love story, as Denver had to shoot Monica in order to save her.

He becomes a possessive lover and gets jealous very often. He is a hot-headed guy and is wounded up easily by his lover’s ex Arturo. While Denver has some bad traits, he is also one of the most understanding and caring characters in the show. His jealousy does not blind him and he accepts Monica’s child with Arturo and loves him like his own son.

With the situation getting out of hand at the Bank of Spain it remains to be seen whether Denver and Monica will make it out alive and look after their son again. The fans hope they do.
