Dangal:

Without any doubt, Dangal is one of the best Bollywood movies that highlight the father-daughter relationship. This biopic starring Aamir Khan in the lead role and his on-screen daughters Fatima Sana Seikh and Sanya Malhotra shows that fathers are the best in recognizing your hidden talent. In the movie, Aamir Khan portrays a strict father but an ambitious father, who despite being a part of a patriarchal society quits his job, dreams and takes up farming to make them professional wrestlers so they can win a gold medal for the country.

Taare Zameen Par

This movie left everyone in tears with its storyline, music, and father-son relationship. The story is about a strict father who refuses to accept that his son is suffering from dyslexia and blames his lazy attitude. Tired of his laziness and daydreaming Ishan’s father sends him off to boarding school, without understanding the actual reason f his behaviour. In the end, the movie takes a drastic change when his father finally realizes his mistake and is seen in tears to see his son’s achievement. Darsheel Safari played the role of Ishan in the movie.

Drishyam

 Drishyam is one gem of a movie in Bollywood, which shows the extent a father can go to protect his family and especially his daughter. The movie starring Ajay Devgan in the lead role shows how a father makes a web and lies so that his family can get out from the claws of the laws. This thriller movie shows the protective nature of the father and how he makes an excellent plan to save his family.

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge

From being a strict dad, who always forces everything on her daughter to finally let her go to her lover by saying, “Ja Simran Jee Le Apni Zindagi”, Amrish Puri’s character from the movie ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ is the perfect representation of strict but a loving father. This iconic movie highlight the different stages of a father-daughter relationship.

Waqt: The Race against Time

Waqt is one of the interesting stories that depicts the perfect relationship between the father and son. The film starring Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles. The story is about a strict father who throws his irresponsible son out of his house because he takes everything as a joke. The story is mold into a very interesting plot when Aditya (Akshay Kumar) finally realizes his responsibility and becomes a star due to his hard work. This movie gives us a very important message that a father might be strict and will come in the bad picture but will definitely teach you how to fight and handle a situation.
