Actor Huma Qureshi shared the poster of her new movie with American filmmaker Zack Snyder “Army of the Dead” on Thursday. In the tweet, she says that her “heart bleeds” for her country and the ones that are fighting the pandemic every day. However, as an actor, it is her professional duty to share her work. 

The film revolves around a group of mercenaries who attempts a daring heist amidst a zombie outbreak in the quarantine zone.

In the post, she shares her work and in the same breath mentions how saddened she is because of the crisis the country is facing. 

“My heart bleeds as my country and my fellow Indians fight personal loss, hurt, pain and devastation every day because of the Covid-19 pandemic. I stand alongside them in sharing every bit of it with them,” she said in the statement. 

“With a heavy heart, however, in keeping with my duties as a professional, I share my work for all of you to view. ‘Army of Dead’, the Zack Synder film I shot through 2019,” she said.

Along with Qureshi the film also features Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Ana de la Reguera, Garret Dillahunt, Raul Castillo, Omari Hardwick, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tig Notaro and Matthias Schweighofer.

The film will be released on May 14 in limited theatres and on May 21 on Netflix. 

The 34- year-old actress urged everyone to abide by the necessary COVID-19 protocols. 

“Urging those who are safe to continue staying safe and follow every possible regulation in these torrid times, while dedicating my work to those who have encountered the wrath of this pandemic and wishing them health & peace,” she said.
