Nannamma superstar fame Samanvi died in a road accident on Thursday. The 6-year-old and her mother, Kannada TV actor Amrutha Naidu, were reportedly returning home in their two wheeler after shopping when they were hit by a lorry at Konankunte cross. Samanvi reportedly died on the spot and her mother has been hospitalised with severe injuries.

Police said that the incident took place around 5:30 pm while the two were heading to Vajarahalli.

A case has reportedly been filed against the lorry driver at Kumarswamy Layout police station. The accused has already been arrested and an investigation was ongoing. 

Going by the latest reports, Samanvi’s body is currently kept at the KIMS hospital for further formalities. Amrutha is also said to be undergoing treatment at the same hospital.

Samanvi was one of the contestants of the reality show Nannamma Superstar. The child had won the hearts of viewers with her charm and was always keen on performing tasks and activities.

Following her death, several people took to Twitter to offer condolences.

“Losing a child is like losing your soul… rest in peace darling samanvi , our heart goes out to the her parents,” one person commented.

Nannamma superstar is a reality tv show where celebrity mothers team up with their children and participate in a variety of activities to entertain the audience and to win prizes.

Speaking on the eve of the show, Samanvi said, “I love you mum. I love her. Go to the party. Share money with dad. For this reason she liked me very much.”
