The winners of the National Film Awards 2022 were announced on Friday. 10 jury members headed by filmmaker Vipul Shah have submitted the report related to the 2020 National Film Awards to I&B Minister Anurag Thakur. 

Announcing the winners’ list, Neerja Sekhar, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said that Madhya Pradesh bagged the “Most film Friendly State” in the 68th edition of National Film Awards 2022.

Sikkim was awarded the ‘Most Film Friendly State’ of the country at the 67th National Film Awards.

The award was received by the state’s Information and Public Relations Minister Lok Nath Sharma at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi from Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu.

It is reported that the recognition comes as a moment of pride for the state and greatly facilitated, setting the foundation for Sikkim to become a premier film destination, while also providing opportunities for the local filmmakers and artistes.

Last year, Director Priyadarshan’s Malayalam war epic  Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea , that is headlined by Mohanlal, won Best Feature Film, while the best acting honours went to Manoj Bajapayee for  Bhonsle, Dhanush for Tamil film  Asuran, and Kangana Ranaut for two of her films,  Panga and  Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.
