The Narcotics Control Bureau has summoned Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal on Wednesday in a drugs case, reports news agency ANI.

Rampal was last summoned on November 13 by the anti-narcotics bureau,  in the case related to alleged drug use in Bollywood, which first came to light after the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

The anti-narcotics bureau had arrested Rajput’s girlfriend, actor Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik and a few others under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act in September in the ongoing probe.

The bureau had also questioned Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Rakul Preet in the drug-angle probe.

Last month, the NCB arrested Bollywood producer Firoz Nadiadwala’s wife after ganja (cannabis) was allegedly found at their residence in suburban Juhu. This came at the time when Rampal was being questioned, and his house was searched by the NCB.

Rampal, in November, said, “I have nothing to do with drugs. I have a prescription for the medicine which was found at my residence and the prescription has been handed over to NCB officials.”
