Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys has recently reacted to the death of his brother, Aaron, at the age of 34. In an emotional Instagram post, the youngest member of the Backstreet Boys said that although he shared a complicated relationship with his brother, his love for the latter ‘has never ever faded’.

Aaron, who was a rapper, was found dead in the bathtub of his home in Lancaster, California. He had a troublesome life where he found himself on the wrong side of the law on several occasions, and he also had to file for bankruptcy once.

Regarding Aaron’s erratic life, his brother said, “I have always held on to the hope that he would somehow, someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help that he so desperately needed.”

The 42-year-old singer-songwriter went on to say, “Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for a loss, but the truth is that addiction and mental illness is the real villain here.”

Aaron had earlier accused Nick of placing him under conservatorship as well as sexually assaulting multiple women. The older Carter brother was granted a restraining order against Aaron in 2019, in which the latter was not allowed to contact his family for a period of one year.

In his post, Nick further wished that Aaron finally manages to find the peace in death that he could not during his lifetime. He ended the post by saying, “I will miss my brother more than anyone will ever know. I love you Chizz. Now you can finally have the peace you could never find here on earth….I love you baby brother.”

Nick Carter’s post comes in the wake of their sister, Angel Carter’s post on social media. She and Aaron were twins. In her post, Angel said, “My funny, sweet Aaron, I have so many memories of you and I, and I promise to cherish them. I know you’re at peace now. I will carry you with me until the day I die and get to see you again.”
