Taapsee Pannu on Saturday broke silence on the raids conducted by the Income Tax Department at her home. Taking to Twitter, the actor addressed the allegations made against her. Taapsee claimed that I-T officials raided her property to find keys to an “alleged” Paris bungalow and receipts of Rs 5 crore- things that she doesn’t have. Taapsee said that there was no raid in 2013 on her property either.

“3 days of intense search of 3 things primarily…1. The keys of the ‘alleged’ bungalow that I apparently own in Paris. Because summer holidays are around the corner,” she said in her first tweet.

“2. The “alleged” receipt worth 5 crores to frame n keep for future pitching coz I’ve been refused that money before…3. My memory of 2013 raid that happened with me according to our honourable finance minister… P.S- ‘not so sasti’ anymore,” she added in her two other tweets.

Earlier this week, the I-T department had conducted raids at the homes of Taapsee, director Anurag Kashyap and his partners who launched the now-shuttered Phantom Films. After the raids, the agency claimed that they had detected financial irregularities of over Rs 650 crore.
