Olivia Wilde gave her fans something to look forward to as highly awaited flick ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ got its release date. The Today Independent Spirit Award-winning filmmaker, along with the release date, posted a teaser of the horror drama on her social media handles.

‘Don’t Worry Darling’ is set to be released in theaters on September 23, 2022. However, the movie is likely to face tough competition as two other releases are scheduled for the same weekend.

‘Dark Harvest’, which has a similar horror-drama theme, and ‘Puss in Boots: The Last Wish’ will also be released in cinemas on the same weekend.

Olivia Wilde’s project ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ is based in the 1950s with the story revolving around a couple who start to think that there may be uncovered secrets in an experimental community, according to reports from Deadline.

The upcoming film’s cast is a star-studded one with big names like Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Nick Kroll, Gemme Chan, KiKi Layne, Sydney Chandler, in addition to the director Wilde.

BAFTA-nominated screenwriter Katie Silberman wrote the screenplay for Don’t Worry Darling based on a spec script by Shane and Carey Van Dyke.

In the production team, renowned names like Miri Yoon, Silberman, Roy Lee, Richard Brener, Alex G Scott, Carry Van Dyke, Catherine Hardwicke and Shane Van Dyke feature, according to reports from Deadline.

The teaser for ‘Don’t Worry Darling’, which is nearly just 10 seconds long, has gathered a moving reaction on Instagram. The video has nearly 900,000 views in just an hour.

Prominent names such as fashion stylist Harry Lambert, writer Evan Ross Katz and screenwriter Kelly Oxford have expressed excitement for the film, according to reports from Deadline.

On the other hand, multiple fans say, in the comments and on other social media handles, that they are not ready for one full year for the movie.
