Ozark, an American crime drama television series starring Jason Bateman, Laura Linney and Julia Gardner, is one of the most popular series on Netflix known for its darkly addictive lure. The potentially deadly situations, gruesome henchmen and a complicated plot with subsequent cliffhangers have left the audience intrigued and excited for its next season. While Season 4 is set to release on  January 21, we’ve listed the most shocking moments from the episodes that have streamed till now.

Right from the first episode, we’ve never been short of Ozark twists. Just when Marty Byrde angrily walks towards a Chicago office building, in shock and fury at his wife’s affair with Gary Silverberg, a body smack hits the pavement from above.

Another shocking Ozark twist was when Mason Young appeared to be drowning his newborn. We were sure that the pastor had lost his mind, after losing his wife and credit to his own church.

Jacob collapsing in front of Darlene while planning to stab her behind her back was one of the top Ozark twists. It was an emotional as well as a savvy scene when Darlene confessed she had mixed cyanide in the tea and that Jacob must now rest. Though they had planned to betray each other, Jacob and Darlene had smiled and parted ways. Jacob showed no regret and displayed no anger, which baffled us.

The death of Roy Petty, one of the biggest antagonists of the show, came out of nowhere, proving once again that no character in Ozark will live long enough to achieve their goals. The fact that he had died due to multiple blows from Cade proves the many unexpected twists the show will encompass.

The latest and much spoken about Ozark twist has been from the last season. The third season is considered to be the best of Ozark, and its ending had been a level higher than the others. Helen Pierce had been shot just as she got down from the SUV, and no one had been expecting that at all. Her swift execution had been impulsively satisfying, for she had attempted to take over the casino.

The next season is all set to release  and is sure to encompass many more unexpected twists and gruesome wars.
