Hollywood star Paul Rudd sent an uplifting letter with a signed ‘Ant-Man’ helmet to a 12-year-old boy who was bullied by his classmates. His classmates also refrained from to signing his yearbook.

Brody Ridder, from Colorado, came home from school after completing his sixth grade with just a few signatures in his yearbook, according to his mother Cassandra. One of the signatures was from Ridder himself which said, “Hope you make some friends”. Cassandra told The Washington Post that these bullying incidents have happened in the past as well and shared that they “broke her heart”. She also revealed that there were kids who “pushed” Brody and called him names, saying that her son has been through a lot.

Brody’s fellow classmates declining his request to sign the yearbook “made him sad”. Paul Rudd reached out to the 12-year-old school boy shortly after the story went viral. Rudd sent a signed helmet and a letter, in which he reminded him that things “get better” and that there are many people who love him.

He wrote a personalized note on the helmet saying, “To my good friend Brody for when he takes on the world” and signed it as “Paul Rudd. Ant-Man”. Broady’s mother posted a photo grab of her son and Paul Rudd’s Facetime call on Facebook saying, “something AMAZING happened today!!! Broady got to talk to Paul Rudd! ANT-MAN!!…”.

Apart from this, a school in the United States banded together to sign Brody’s yearbook. Dear Evan Hansen’s Broadway cast invited Brody to New York to watch the show and requested him to bring his yearbook so they could sign it.

“It’s important to remember that even when life is tough that things get better. There are so many people that love you and think you’re the coolest kid there is — me being one of them! I can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’re going to accomplish,” Paul Rudd wrote in the letter.
