Telugu star Prabhas’ romantic drama ‘Radhe Shyam’, which was
supposed to release this year, has been rescheduled. The film will now release
on January 14, 2022 during Pongal and Makar Sankranti celebrations.

Confirming the movie’s theatrical release, Prabhas wrote: “Can’t wait for you all to watch my romantic saga, #RadheShyam, which has a brand-new release date – 14th January, 2022 worldwide! (sic).”

Earlier the makers had announced that the movie would release on July 30 this year. Prabhas’s suited look in the new ‘Radhe Shyam’ poster has gone viral.

Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata and Pawan Kalyan-Rana Daggubati movie are also scheduled to be released in the Sankranthi season-2022.

‘Radhe Shyam’ also features actress Pooja Hegde in the
female lead and joining the group of talented stars is now singer-composer
Amaal Mallik  who will be composing the
music for ‘Radhe Shyam’. This project marks Amaal’s first collaboration with
both Prabhas and Pooja Hegde.

“I am so thrilled that I am part of a Prabhas sir movie,
it’s going to be exciting to compose for Radhe Shyam. The all important thing
is ‘Radhe Shyam’ is slated to hit theatres on Makar Sankranti, January 14,
2022, worldwide,” he said.

Directed by Radha Krishna Kumar of Jil fame, Radhe Shyam
marks the return of Prabhas to the romantic genre after a gap of almost a
decade and it will release in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi.

Set in 1970s Europe, the film stars Pooja Hegde as the leading
lady of the movie with Sachin Khedekar, Priyadarshi Pulikonda, Bhagyashree,
Murli Sharma, Kunaal Roy Kapoor, Riddhi Kumar, Sasha Chettri and Sathyan in
other important roles.

T-Series is presenting the movie while Vamshi, Pramod, and
Praseedha U are the producers. The music composition for the South Indian
languages is handled by Justin Prabhakaran and Manoj Paramahamsa is the
cinematographer.
