Keeping the LGBTQIA+ pride month in mind, we have compiled a list of podcasts that have initiated significant conversations around this closed-door topic and constantly working towards destigmatising the concept of homosexuality across the globe.

Queery

Hosted by American actor and comedian Cameron Esposito,  Queery, includes heartfelt conversations that identify themselves as a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community. Esposito doesn’t shy away from getting into the darker times and experiences of her guests. 

Prominent LGBTQIA+ personalities like Abby Wambach, SOAK, Our Lady J, and Bob the Drag Queen, have been a part of Queery.

Making Gay History

As the name suggests, the show dives into the history of LGBTQIA+ rights movements and landmark events in the struggle to achieve the goal. Host of the podcast, American journalist and writer Eric Marcus invites activists, leaders, and pioneers who have witnessed the rise and low of the LGBTQIA+ civil movements through intimate discussions and revisiting the important encounters.

An Indian podcast dedicated to much-needed conversations and facts about the LGBTQIA+ community. Hosted by Indian comedian Navin Noronha and host Farhad Karkaria, the show focuses on busting the myths prevalent in society about homosexuality, address issues from the eyes of LGBTIA+ community members.

The hosts also touch upon important discussions on diverse topics from LGBTQIA+ laws, to movies to pop culture and almost everything under the sun.

A hilarious podcast addressing not so hilarious conversations about the LGBTQIA+ community and its challenges is what you must listen to commemorate Pride Month 2021. What makes it different from other podcasts of the same realm is its quality to present all the conversation through the lens of a homosexual and a heterosexual individual.

The LGBTQIA+ movement in India has reached heights but is same-sex love still normal enough for an average Indian? This Indian podcast by the name of Shuddh Desi Gay answers just that. Hosted by a gay couple and former radio jockeys, Yogi and Kabeer, the podcast dive into what it is like to be gay in Indian society.

Through simple conversations like being a homosexual, how their regular and professional life looks like. The podcast explores simple gay questions from the lens of a homosexual couple.
