‘Pulp Fiction’ director Quentin Tarantino welcomed his second child, a baby girl with his wife, model and singer Daniella Pick on July 2. The couple has not revealed the name of the baby.
The couple revealed the news of their second child in a statement provided to People by their representatives.
The statement that People reported read-“Daniella and Quentin Tarantino are happy to announce that Daniella gave birth to their baby girl on July 2, 2022, a little sister to Leo, their first child.”
Tarantino, 59, and Daniella, 38, revealed in February that they were expecting their second child.
Tarantino and Pick began dating in 2009, while Tarantino was promoting his film ‘Inglorious Basterds’. The couple got married in November 2018. In February 2020, they welcomed their first child, son Leo.
There was a lot of buzz on the internet assuming that Tarantino named his son after Leonardo DiCaprio (the two worked together in ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ and ‘Django Unchained’).
Quentin explained to Jimmy Kimmel why his son was named Leo and stated- “We almost didn’t name him that because people would assume I named him after Leonardo DiCaprio. There’s nothing wrong with that, but … he’s named after my wife’s grandfather, but also because, just in our hearts, he was our little lion.”
The Hebrew University of Jerusalem awarded the actor, director, screenwriter, and author an honorary doctorate. According to the institution, the Oscar winner is being honoured for his “critically acclaimed cinematic success as a writer, director, and actor.”
The ace director is known for his critically acclaimed blockbusters – ‘Pulp Fiction’, ‘Kill Bill’, ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’, ‘Django Unchained’, and his written thrillers such as ‘Reservoir Dogs’, ‘Fight Club’, and ‘Taxi Driver’.
Tarantino has always stated that his body of work will consist of ten films, after which he intends to retire from filmmaking. In that case, his next project would be his final.
