The trailer of Hansal Mehta’s ‘Chhalaang’ released on Saturday featuring Rajkummar Rao, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayub and Nushrat Bharucha. The movie will see an OTT release on Amazon Prime on November 13.

The trailer depicts a typical presentation of drama, cradling elements of romance and comedy in the backdrop of a small town school in Haryana. Rajkummar Rao, who plays Montu is a laid back PT teacher, whose only motivation to come to school is easy money.

However, when Nushrat Bharucha, playing Neelu arrives as a computer teacher, Montu starts liking her and is willing to walk an extra mile to impress the new teacher. However, the love triangle begins when Zeeshan (Singh) is appointed by the Principal Satish Kaushik played by Ila Arun. Singh threatens Montu in every which way, especially as the former is better qualified for the job. However, the message of the story lies in the value of sports education in the Indian curriculum.

The movie while promising a light dose of entertainment, has brought the famous Hansal Mehta- Rajkummar Rao duo together after their 2018 biographical drama ‘Omerta’. This movie will also mark as their fifth film together.

The makers of ‘Chhalaang’ announced release of the trailer on Instagram with a rather simple caption, hitting the theme of the movie. “Daud, Gir, Uth, Patak aur maar Chhalaang,” the caption read.

The film has been produced by Ajay Devgn, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg. It’s cast includes the likes of Saurabh Shukla and Jatin Sarna.
