Actress Rakhi Sawant has reportedly filed an FIR against her Dubai-based boyfriend Adil Durrani at Oshiwara police station in Mumbai after alleging that he assaulted and cheated her.
According to Sawant, the couple got into a heated argument regarding another actress, Sherlyn Chopra‘s recently surfaced accusation against the actress and her character. Durrani reportedly got tired of the constant attacks on his girlfriend’s character and the spat eventually escalated into a fight.

When the fight reportedly got ugly, Durrani asked her to give back all the money that he had splurged on her. According to Sawant’s report, when she refused to do so, he assaulted her.
It all apparently started after Sawant supported infamous film producer and director Sajid Khan who entered the latest season of ‘Big Boss,’ which is hosted by Salman Khan. Sajid has faced allegations of sexual harassment by various women in the film industry including Chopra.

Sawant came out in support of the filmmaker, after which Chopra started digging into the former’s disturbing past. Chopra has also gone ahead and registered an FIR against Sawant for making defamatory and objectionable statements when she came out in support of Khan.
According to a police official, an FIR was registered against Sawant and her lawyer at Amboli police station under Indian Penal Code sections 354-A (sexual harassment), 500 (defamation), and sections of the Information Technology Act.

Rakhi and Adil remained unavailable for comments. Sawant has not been summoned by the police following the probe against her. It is not clear if Adil has been contacted by law enforcement.
“She (Sherlyn) is following up with the police officer and has already written a letter to the chief minister of Maharashtra and if there is no response from the police we will be moving court against Sajid Khan,” Chopra’s lawyer Suhail Shariff told reporters.
He also alleged that Sawant has shown his client’s video clips to various sections of the media.
