Rami Malek and Lucy Boynton have ended their more than five-year relationship. After months of rumors, the couple’s breakup was officially confirmed. They haven’t been spotted together since the Bafta Awards in London in February.
According to a source who spoke to The Sun on Friday, Rami, 42, and Lucy, 29, split up early this year after ‘growing apart.’ According to a person who spoke to the publication, ‘Rami and Lucy split earlier this year without much fanfare. They were together for a long time but had grown apart.’

The shoot of Bohemian Rhapsody, a biographical musical drama about Queen’s illustrious frontman, in 2017 brought Malek and Boynton closer together throughout filming. Boynton and Malek played real-life partners Mercury and Austin.
Malek confirmed his relationship with Boynton in January 2019 at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. Malek received the festival’s best breakthrough performance award, and in his acceptance speech, he referred to his “love” as the recipient. “Thank you, Lucy Boynton. You have been my ally, my confidant, you are my love,” he said. “I appreciate you so much.”

At the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards, Malek and Boynton made a big impression as they walked the blue carpet in coordinated outfits. In an interview with PORTER magazine later that year, Boynton explained how the unexpected matching incident occurred.
Malek and Boynton spent time with each other’s parents in addition to their many red carpet and award show appearances. Malek was seen out and about in Los Angeles the day after the SAG Awards in 2019 with Boynton and her mother, Adriaane Pielou.
The couple debuted at the Met Gala in an unofficial capacity in 2019. Boynton and Malek did not walk the red carpet together because they were dressed by different designers. They did, however, meet up again inside and posed for a picture.
At the 2020 Academy Awards, Boynton stood behind Malek as he presented the award for Best Actress. Malek went solo along the red carpet for the No Time to Die premiere in 2021, but Boynton joined him at the after-party. At the London event, the couple was seen holding hands and kissing each other.
