Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s wedding ceremonies will kick off today, April 13, with the Mehendi ceremony, news organisation NDTV reported on Wednesday.

All festivities, beginning with today’s Mehendi, will take place in Vastu, the couple’s apartment complex in Mumbai’s Pali Hills. On Wednesday, a pooja was performed in the presence of immediate relatives, and the Mehendi ritual would begin after lunch, at approximately 2 p.m. Only close family and friends will be present at the modest event, NDTV reported citing sources.

There are no further activities planned for the day. Some of Ranbir and Alia’s close friends are anticipated to visit them today. Ayan Mukerji, who directs them in Brahmastra, was sighted at Vastu last night.

Sources close to the family confirmed to NDTV that Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor‘s wedding will take place tomorrow. The wedding will take place at 3 p.m. at their Vastu building flat. This will also be limited to immediate family and close friends. The pair intended to keep their wedding a quiet affair; Ranbir is considered to be a very private guy, and Alia wanted her wedding ceremony to be just with family and close friends.

This week has been a whirlwind of activity at Vastu, with tables being unpacked and the delivery of tableware and Sabyasachi carry bags.
