Ranveer Singh is a powerhouse of talent who has proved his mettle on the big screen with his great energy and impeccable performance. The actor, who made his Bollywood debut with ‘Band Baaja Baarat’ in 2010, was last seen in the 2019 film ‘Gully Boy’. 

Seems like the year 2021 has Ranveer Singh written all over it as some of his anticipated films are expected to hit theatres soon apart from making his TV debut as a host with The Big Picture.

As the actor turned a year older today, let’s take a look at some of his forthcoming projects, which are all in different genres. 


It is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The sports drama brings Ranveer Singh as cricketer Kapil Dev- captain of the Indian Cricket Team at the 1983 Cricket World Cup. Directed by Kabir Khan, the movie also stars Deepika Padukone as Romi Bhatia (Kapil Dev’s wife), Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Harrdy Sandhu, Ammy Virk, Jiiva, Pankaj Tripathi, Boman Irani, Nishant Dahiya, Sahil Khattar, and Amrita Puri. 


Ranveer will reprise his role as Simmba in ‘Sooryavanshi’. Although Akshay Kumar plays the lead role in the film, Ranveer’s glimpse has been given in the trailer. It is the fourth film in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe.

Jayeshbhai Jordaar

Jayeshbhai Jordaar marks the debut of director Divyang Thakkar and actor Shalini Pandey. The movie is a social comedy and also stars Boman Irani and Ratna Pathak Shah. This film will see Ranveer in an out-and-out action avatar. He is said to be playing a Gujarati man, something he hasn’t done before.


Adapted from Shakespeare’s play The Comedy of Errors, Cirkus will see Ranveer uniting with Rohit Shetty again. This film will see him in a double role.

The Hindi remake of ‘Anniyan’

Visionary filmmaker S Shankar has roped in Ranveer for the title role in his Hindi remake of blockbuster hit ‘Anniyan’. 

Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani

Karan Johar’s directorial return is with hit Gully Boy pair Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. As per reports, the movie is titled ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani’ and will also star Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi.
