Rey Mysterio locked horns with his son Dominik Mysterio in WrestleMania 39 on Saturday. The even is taking place at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium.

The WWE Hall of Famer, ahead of his bout, arrived in a car along with Snoop Dogg. Viva La Raza played in the background. This was Rey Mysterio’s grand tribute to former wrestler Eddie Guerrero, who died in 2005.

The car was a customized Buick, like the one Guerrero used, and the song was the former wrestler’s entrance score. Rey Mysterio won the match against Dom.

Fans were in awe of Rey Mysterio’s gesture. They also praised Snoop Dogg, who drove the car.

“Rey Mysterio pulled up to WrestleMania with Snoop Dogg while paying homage to Eddie Guerrero 🇲🇽🔥” a Twitter user said.

“It feels like Rey’s really put so much of his career towards making sure wrestling never forgets Eddie Guerrero. And God bless him for it,” another one added.

“WWE legend Rey Mysterio recreates Eddie Guerrero entrance with Snoop Dogg in emotional WrestleMania tribute,” a third one said on Twitter.

Eddie Guerrero’s wife Vickie reacted to Rey Mysterio’s gesture.

“NOW THIS IS AN ENTRANCE WITH RESPECT AND LEGACY…. @wwe @SnoopDogg seeing Eddie on the screen….goosebumps and tears!!!!” she tweeted.

Eduardo Guerrero was the son of first-generation wrestler Gory Guerrero. The 38-year-old is widely considered one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time.

On November 13, 2005, Guerrero was found unconscious in his hotel room at the Marriott Hotel City Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His nephew Chavo, who found the body, in a documentary explained that Eddie had passed out in the hotel room bathroom with a toothbrush in his hand.
