Mega popstar Rihanna teased a short clip of her much-awaited performance at Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show, all scheduled to happen on February 12, 2023.

The Barbadian singer posted a short clip on her Instagram account, in which she can be seen in a fluffy green jacket and braided hair. “It’s been 2,190 days… It’s been over six years… Rihanna is who everybody is waiting for,” an impatient media voice could be heard saying. The video concludes with a snippet of Needed Me, a song from Anti.

Rihanna put out her last album Anti in 2016, and since then fans have wondered when would the Umbrella singer drop her next project. Although Rihanna put all the rumors to rest when asked about her new music in SavageXFenty lingerie show held in November last year, when she said “That’s not true. Super Bowl is one thing. New music is another thing. Do you hear that, fans. The second that I announced this, I said, ‘Oh, my God, they’re going to think my album is coming. I need to get to work,” fans are quite affirmative about the Umbrella singer putting out her brand new album, after a six years long wait.

Rihanna’s performance at the event on Feb. 12, will be a groundbreaking event. The game draws one of the biggest single TV audiences of the year, and the performances, which star the most talented musicians from the industry, have been hits. 

Last Year, the performers included Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar, which secured five Creative Arts Emmy nominations and won three Creative Arts Emmys, including outstanding live variety special. 

Past Super Bowl Halftime Show performers include Weeknd, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Prince, Madonna among others.
