Rihanna once said that “my pocket’s deep and they never end”, looks like she was not lying because Forbes has named her the richest female musician in the world.

Topping alongside Oprah Winfrey as one of the richest entertainers, her fortune does not entirely come from performing.  RiRi, born Robyn Fenty, started her brand Fenty beauty in 2017, which is estimated to be the prime contributor to her net worth of over $1.7 billion.

The singer-songwriter-turned-entrepreneur launched Fenty Beauty in partnership with luxury goods conglomerate LVMH’s Kendo Brands, the brand became popular with 40 shades of foundation. In May 2019, she went on to introduce Fenty fashion house, which is also under LVMH. The brand designs clothes and accessories like sunglasses and footwear. Savage x Fenty was a brainchild of Rihanna to construct a more inclusive outlet for designs.

It is estimated by Forbes that $1.4 billion of her worth comes from Fenty Beauty and $270 million coming from her lingerie brand Savage X Fenty — the business magazine said the rest of the $1.7 billion is sprinkled in from the Barbadian star’s music and acting career.

Her recent success has seen a myriad of positive reactions from fans across the globe.

Another user drew a comparison between two headlines one of which was from 2014, “How Rihanna went nearly bankrupt in 2009” and the other, from this week says “Fenty’s Fortune: Rihanna is Officially a Billionaire”.
