Female K-pop group Blackpink has broken several records in the past. Now its member Rose has done the same with her debut solo 'On The Ground.' Upon its release on March 12, the song debuted at number one on the Billboard Global 200 and it remains on the top, two weeks since then.
The song also debuted atop on Billboard Global Excl US chart (it doesn't include data from the United States). Two weeks after the release, the song remains on the top.
On the Billboard's Hot 100 chart, the track debuted number 70, thus making her "the highest-charting release for a female K-pop soloist in history," Entertainment Weekly reported. This places her right after Psy, whose 'Gangnam Style' debuted at 64 and rose to number 2 in 2012.
Since its debut, the track has been streamed more than 120 million times on YouTube. She also performed the song on the popular late-night show, The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, the first female K-pop soloist to do so.
