Wayne Swinny, one of the founding members and the guitarist of the band Saliva, was hospitalised after suffering a brain haemorrhage TMZ reported on Wednesday.

The group, in a statement, said” “Our dear brother Wayne Swinny was discovered Tuesday morning in medical distress and paramedics were called.”

The other band members are Bobby Amaru, Brad Stewart and Sammi Bishop.

Wayne Swinny (1996- present)

Wayne Swinny is one of the original members and guitarist of the band Saliva which was founded in Bartlett, Tennessee in September 1996. He was co-founded by former members Roxy Blue, Blackbone and Gemini Clan.

The original line-up of Saliva featured vocalist Josey Scott Sappington, drummer Todd Poole, bassist Dave Novotny and guitarists Chris D’Abaldo and Wayne Swinny. The band played their first show on Halloween, October 31, 1996.

Bobby Amaru (2011–present)

Bobby Amaru joined Saliva as a new vocalist in 2012. Amaru had been the frontman of his solo band Amaru, as well as the drummer for Burn Season. “He is a singer, songwriter and producer from Jacksonville, Florida who has a GREAT voice and will not only bring some fresh blood into the band but; will also put a new spin on the Saliva sound,” said Wayne about Amaru.

Brad Stewart (2015–2018, 2019–present)

Brad Stewart is a 48-year-old American bassist, popular for his work with hard rock bands Shinedown and Fuel. He currently performs in Saliva, Society Red, and Burn Season.

In March 2007, Stewart reportedly left Shinedown, while no official statement was made. In March 2010, Stewart replaced Jeff Abercrombie in the Fuel revival band Re-Fueled. In April 2010, it was formally announced that the Re-Fueled lineup would be using the name Fuel and going on a world tour starting in April 2010.

According to a 2019 announcement, Stewart was a licensed real estate agent at SVR Realty, when he was not on the road performing.

Sammi Bishop (2022–present)

Sammi Bishop replaced Paul Crosby permanently in the Saliva band after he left on May 14, 2022.
