Salman Khan urged his supporters to participate in the Green India Challenge and plant trees.
The Green India Challenge 5.0 was attended by Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Rajya Sabha MP J Santosh Kumar and Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. According to Santosh Kumar in a statement, Salman Khan planted a seedling at Ramoji Film City on Tuesday while visiting Hyderabad for filming with his crew.
Salman Khan added during his speech that everyone should take on the duty of a planting programme and provide the plants with the proper care until they grow to be large.
It is unfortunate that significant numbers of people are lost to natural disasters like floods and periods of intense rain. The actor mentioned in his speech that the only way to stop the loss is to promote plantations.
The actor encouraged his supporters to take part in the Green India Challenge and plant as much trees as everyone can.
Salman Khan praised Santosh Kumar for taking up the plantation programme. He said that the MP's efforts to increase green cover will contribute to the protection of the planet and future generations. One of the biggest green programmes in the nation, the Green India Challenge (GIC), was started by Santosh Kumar. Numerous millions of saplings have been planted as part of the effort.
On July 17, 2018, Joginapally Santosh Kumar introduced the Green India Challenge, a citizen-led project with the tagline "If it's green, it's abundant." Through this network, he has encouraged famous people, actors from movies, athletes, and politicians to plant trees and give generously to environmental causes. In response, several celebrities have started their own planting chains.
Jairam Ramesh, a prominent member of the Congress and member of the Rajya Sabha, commended the GIC for striving to increase green cover and lessen the problems caused by pollution.
