Somy Ali, a former Bollywood actor and Salman Khan‘s ex-girlfriend, took to Instagram on Wednesday to expose the “Harvey Weinstein of Bollywood.” She even tagged Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the Instagram post.
“The Harvey Weinstein of Bollywood! You will be exposed. The women you abused will come out one day and share their truth. Just like @aishwaryaraibachchan_arb,” she wrote while sharing a silhouette shot of an actor and actress from a 90s movie.
Transgender model-actress Nikkiey Chawla wrote in the comments section, “Can’t even imagine for a sec what all those girls might have gone through… that emotional trauma. Kudos to u my darling for raising voice and @aishwaryaraibachchan_arb.”
Though Somy did not name anyone in the instagram post, Twitter users were quick to note that the image was from Salman Khan’s movie Maine Pyar Kiya’s romantic track Aate Jaate Haste Gaate.
For the unversed, Somy and Salman dated for almost a decade in the 90s. Soon after they broke up, the ‘Ek The Tiger‘ actor dated started sating Aishwarya in the early 2000s.
After breakup, Aishwarya opened up about being in an abusive relationship.
“Salman and I broke up last March, but he isn’t able to come to terms with it. After we broke up, he would call me and talk rubbish. He also suspected me of having affairs with my co-stars,” she said in an interview in 2002.
Last year, Somy revealed that Salman cheated on her during their relationship which is when she decided to break up with him.
“It’s been 20 years since I broke up with him. He cheated on me and I broke up with him and left. It’s as simple as that,” she had said in an interview with Zoom Digital.
