Samantha Ruth Prabhu has created a storm over the internet after her spectacular dance number in Pushpa, a 2021 film by Sukumar. The Tamil and Telugu actor performed in Oo Antava, a peppy dance track in the film. Sung by Indravathi Chouhan, the lyrical and video song have collectively garnered nearly 80 million views in a few days of its release.

Samantha also took to Instagram to share a snippet of the video. She shared that having worked good, bad, funny, and complex characters, being sexy is a whole new level of hard work. She added that she works extremely hard, and this stint was a particularly challenging one. She also thanked her fans for the love and support over the latest dance number.

Despite the positive acclaim, Samantha’s recent work also faced criticism from some for being too bold. Samantha subtly shut down haters through her recent Instagram post.

Oo Antava is Samantha’s first dance number. Her friends, including actor Malavika Mohanan, lauded Samantha for her fiery performance. Others like actor Tamannaah Bhatia, Ruhani Sharma and Pearle Maaney also showed their support.

The song is choreographed by dance icon Ganesh Acharya. Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna star in the film. The film released at the box office last Friday.

Samantha also made headlines after her split with Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya. The duo was together for nearly four years, and split up this October.  

On the work front, Samantha has been surrounded by quite a few lucrative opportunities, including a Hollywood stint. She signed a role in the next project of Downtown Abbey’s director. Samantha will play a bisexual woman in ‘Arrangements of Love’. The film will be Samantha’s first international acting project.

Samantha rose to fame after her power-packed performance in The Family Man 2. She has been a part of various films like Oh! Baby, Theri, 24, Ye Maaya Chesave, and more.
