Sara Ali Khan revealed what she thought of her parents Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh as actors when she was a child. As a kid, Sara believed that her mother and father were ‘negative people’, one of whom uses foul language and the other one runs a porn site. These assumptions were made on the basis of Saif’s role in ‘Omkara’ and Amrita’s character in ‘Kalyug’. The revelation was made in a new tell-all interview.

The 26-year-old’s father, Saif Ali Khan, portrayed the role of Ishwar ‘Langda’ Tyagi, the catalyst of the story who is loyal to the protagonist. But following the promotion of Kesu, Ishwar becomes a jealous, hateful and bitter man.

Omkara is a star-studded crime drama that also featured Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi and Konkona Sen Sharma.

As for Sara’s mother, Amrita Singh, she portrayed the role of Simi Roy, a businesswoman and an owner of a porn website. She resides in Zurich, Switzerland, and also runs a red light district.

In an interview to Harper’s Bazaar India, Sara talked about her memories based on her parent’s films as a child and she said, “All I remember is watching Omkara (2006) and Kalyug (2005) and being really disturbed that my parents were such negative people (laughs)! I was very young and I used to think that my father uses bad language and that my mom runs a porn site…it was not fun! And because they were both nominated for ‘best actor in a negative role’ in the same year, I was, like, ‘What is this?”

Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s marriage spanned over a decade but the two chose to part ways in 2004. The couple are parents of two, Sara and Ibrahim Ali Khan.

Sara’s debut came in 2018 in Abhishek Kapoor’s film Kedarnath. Since then, she has been seen portraying roles in Simmba, Love Aaj Kal 2 and Coolie No. 1. Her next project, Atrangi Re, features Akshay Kumar and Dhanush in lead roles.
