SPOILER ALERT: This article contains details about the plot and ending of  Scream VI

The latest installment in the Scream franchise, directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, has left fans thrilled and on edge with its shocking twist ending. Scream VI brings back familiar characters, including the Carpenter sisters, Sam and Tara, who have relocated to New York City for college.

The movie ends with the sisters, along with Chad and Kirby, trapped inside a movie theater as Detective Bailey calls Sam, warning her that Kirby can’t be trusted. Bailey, Quinn, and Ethan are revealed to be the Ghostface killers. They were seeking revenge on Sam for killing Richie, who appeared in the previous Scream film. The three of them were obsessed with the Stab movies and the original Ghostface killings, collecting evidence and doing extensive research. Richie had even started his own unfinished movie before he died.

While Bailey and Quinn are killed by Sam, Ethan is stabbed by Tara and finished off by Kirby with an old TV. However, the movie’s conclusion hints at more horror to come, with Sam leaving behind Billy Loomis’ mask as she walks away with Tara.

Anika, Mindy’s girlfriend, is killed when Ethan attacks the apartment, and Quinn’s lover’s body is found in a bathtub. Gale’s new boyfriend is also killed.

In addition to the twists and turns of the plot, Scream VI has been praised for being a fun, bloody addition to the franchise. The film’s mix of horror and humor, along with its self-awareness and pop culture references, have garnered positive reviews from fans and critics alike.
