Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber publicly posed for photos for the first time while attending the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures’ second annual gala on October 15 in Los Angeles. In the first photo, Selena and Hailey have their cheeks pressed together, and in another Gomez can be seen hugging Bieber. 

The images came just weeks after Hailey Bieber made an appearance on Call her Daddy podcast. On the podcast, Hailey Bieber confronted the longtime rumors that she stole Justin Bieber from Selena Gomez. Hailey said, “When him and I ever started like hooking up or like anything of that sort, he was not even in a relationship ever, at any point.” She added, “It’s not my character to mess with someone’s relationship.”

Selena and Hailey’s photos have received berserk Twitter reactions. One of the tweets said, “Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez are THE moment but you’re not ready for that conversation!”

Another tweet read, “Seeing Selena and hailey together low-key made me happy I’m so glad we can finally move past all these rumours now bc at the end of the day they’re both strong independent beautiful successful women that get torn down by the media.”

“kinda iconic that hailey and selena attending the same event were able to take a picture together after y’all’s delusional theories about them hating each other…it’s time to put it to rest and move on”, said another tweet. 

The Los Angeles event where Selena and Hailey crossed paths honored Julia Roberts with the Academy’s inaugural Museum Gala Icon Award, Tilda Swinton with the Visionary Award, Steve McQueen with the Vantage Awaesa, and Miky Lee with the Pillar Award.

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were in an on-and-off relationship from December 2010 to March 2018. On November 23, 2018, Justin Bieber stated he was married to Hailey Baldwin. The Canadian pop singer married Hailey in an official ceremony on September 30, 2019.
