A month
after the makers of ‘Sex and the City’ revealed that the show will be returning
to television, Sarah Jessica Parker, who plays Carrie Bradshaw on the show,
spilled the beans about it and said that COVID-19 will be incorporated into the
revival.

COVID-19 “will obviously be part of the storyline because that’s
the city [these characters] live in, and how to have that changed relationships
once friends disappear?  I have great
faith that the writers are going to examine it all,” she said in an interview with
Vanity Fair.

The
show, titled ‘And Just Like That’, will reunite Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis’ characters, Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte. Kim
Cattrall
, who played the character of Samantha, did not sign on for the show.

Speaking about how the three are excited to reprise their
roles, Parker said, ”I think that Cynthia [Nixon], Kristin [Davis], and I are
all excited about the time that has passed. You know, who are they in this
world now? Have they adapted? What part have they played? ”

”Where have they fallen short as women, as friends, and how are
they finding their way? Did they move with momentum? Are they like some people
who are confused, threatened, nervous [by what’s happening in the world]? I’m
so curious and excited to see how the writers imagine these women today.” She added,

The show aired from 1998 to 2004 and also inspired two
films that released in 2008 and 2010.
