Bollywood actor Shah
Rukh Khan
, familiarly known as SRK, had praised his wife Gauri Khan for the vital
role she plays in the lives of their kids.

It feels like Jannat: Shah Rukh Khan’s fans after Aryan’s bail in drug case

In an old interview, Shah Rukh
recognised the difficulties that come with being in a relationship with a
public figure. He revealed getting disheartened when his family’s privacy is
taken for granted and they are trolled for no fault of their own.

The recently turned
56-year-old’s relationship with Gauri goes way back, the two tied the knot in
1991 and are the parents of three children – Aryan Khan (23), Suhana Khan (21)
and AbRam (8).

Shah Rukh gave a revealing
interview to Femina in 2017 where he said, “I’ve known Gauri since she was 14
years old, so it’s now been more than 35 years of knowing her. It’s a tough job
to live with an actor. You can’t even co-own them; you just get a small share.
The world owns me. To step out with me or go to a restaurant together means
being exposed to people who want my time. I bring a lot of unwanted nuisance
into my family’s life. They get trolled, their privacy is snatched away, and
they can’t even expect me to do normal, simple things like go for a walk.”

Shah Rukh Khan had tears of joy after Aryan Khan’s bail: Lawyer

The actor added, “I
am that big, not-so-beautiful mole on the face that you’ve got to learn to
love. And Gauri, without ever having made a big deal of it, has given me that
space. Sometimes, when awful things are said about my family, I feel
responsible. If I misbehave in Wankhede Stadium, it is me who’s misbehaving,
not my kids—I couldn’t even protect my own daughter and her friends. So I
respect Gauri for retaining her identity and tolerating the nuisance value I
bring into her life. I wouldn’t have been able do it if I were her.”

The superstar’s family has
been through a difficult time in recent weeks with Shah Rukh’s eldest son,
Aryan Khan, getting arrested in the drugs on cruise case. The 23-year-old was
granted bail by the Bombay High Court on Thursday.
