Here’s a list of some of his controversies:

Wankhede Stadium ban

In 2012, after Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Chennai Super Kings in the IPL final, an allegedly inebriated Shah Rukh Khan got into a brawl with a security guard in full public view at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. In his defence, the celebrity claimed that the guard had prevented Suhana (his daughter) from joining the celebrations on the ground, but he then exacerbated matters by angrily attacking the guard and Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) officials in full front of the television cameras surrounding him.

The Mumbai Police filed a FIR and the MCA barred him from entering the stadium, but after six years, the cops discovered that the claims against SRK were without merit.

Bandra police station arrest

In an incident reported by Anupama Chopra in her book on SRK and later recalled by him in an interview with David Letterman, the then-unknown actor was irritated that the journalist had written about an intimate sequence between Deepa Sahi and him for Ketan Mehta’s acclaimed film ‘Maya Membsaab.’ Sahi, by the way, is Mehta’s wife.

“I’m going to strip you naked and make you stand with me. Do you think that’s funny?” In his Letterman interview, SRK recalled saying to the journalist and then creating a scene that resulted in his imprisonment.

Sex determination

Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri had their third and youngest kid, AbRam, through surrogacy in 2013. Khan and his wife Gauri were accused of doing the pre-natal sex determination test shortly after the announcement. An investigation was launched against the two, although Shah Rukh Khan later denied all of the reports.

“I didn’t like it when the media talked about surrogacy. It irritates me. They claimed I had a sex determination test, which was nonsense. I am far too intelligent to partake in such drivel. He was in pain… He was sick, and everyone was talking about sex determination since he was the child of a renowned movie star,” Shah Rukh Khan stated in an interview.
