Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan turned 80 on Tuesday. The megastar has received several birthday wishes from all around the world. After celebrities like Anushka Sharma, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Virat Kohli, and others sent sincere messages on social media in honour of the legendary actor on his birthday, Shah Rukh Khan posted a hearty tribute on social media.

“One thing to learn from this great man, actor, superstar, father and superhuman is to never back away….instead learn….level up and launch again and again….forever. May you always be healthy and entertain our grand children also. Love you sir,” the Raees star wrote.

Amitabh Bachchan posted a throwback photo with Shah Rukh Khan in June 2022. He was seen in the frame signing a Don poster for SRK. He wrote, “… and errr continuing in the same vein… DON.”

Amitabh Bachchan has won various accolades throughout his long career in the film industry. He has won numerous accolades at international film festivals, including 15 Filmfare Awards and five National Film Awards. He received the Padma Shri honour in 1984, the Padma Bhushan honour in 2001, and the Padma Vibhushan honour in 2015. In 2018, Bachchan also received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.

Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan have appeared in several films together. In Karan Johar’s 2001 film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Amitabh Bachchan played Shah Rukh Khan’s onscreen father. Both actors have appeared in films such as Bhoothnath, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, and Mohabbatein. Amitabh Bachchan starred in Badla, a film produced by SRK through his production company Red Chillies Entertainment, in 2019.

Shah Rukh Khan also appeared in Amitabh Bachchan’s 2022 film Brahmastra for an extended cameo. Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Nagarjuna also appeared in the film.

Pathaan, Shah Rukh’s first film in four years, is set to be released on January 25, 2023.
