Aryan Khan’s bail
on Thursday has indeed brought much-needed relief to his father Shah Rukh Khan.
And it is showing. The Bollywood icon was spotted smiling with relief showing on
his face when he was clicked with lawyer Satish Maneshinde and other members of
Aryan Khan’s legal team. The Bombay High Court granted bail to Aryan Khan on
Thursday in the drugs-on-cruise case after three days of hearing.

Following the
granting of bail, Satish Maneshinde and his legal team put out a statement
saying: “Aryan Khan has been released on bail by the HC. No possession, No
evidence, No consumption, No conspiracy. Right from the first moment when he
was detained on 2nd Oct 2021… Nor is there anything as of now. We
are greatful to Almighty that our prayers were accepted by Mr Justice Nitin
Sambre and granted bail to Aryan (sic).”

Along with Aryan
Khan, the high court also granted bail to his friend Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun
Dhamecha, co-accused in the case. Mukul Rohatgi, former attorney general of
India, represented Aryan Khan before the Bombay High Court. Upon securing bail
for his client, Rohatgi said that the court will put out a detailed order on
Friday and Aryan Khan will be released from Arthur Road Jail either on Friday
or Saturday.

Talking about how
he feels on having secured bail for the star-kid, Mukul Rohatgi said, “For me,
it is a regular case — to win some, to lose some. I am happy that he (Khan) has
got bail.”

23-year-old Aryan
Khan has spent nearly 25 days in judicial custody. He was detained by the
Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on October 2 and arrested on October 3 after NCB
sleuths raided a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast in which they allegedly found
drugs. Khan approached the Bombay High Court after a special NDPS court refused
to grant him bail.
