It appears that the most powerful Avenger, The Hulk is embarking on his own journey in the She-Hulk series, one that could lead to the introduction of Skaar, Hulk’s son, into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That’s because the Hulk is currently dealing with unfinished business in Sakaar, the gladiatorial planet where the Hulk spent two years, and in Marvel Comics it is the home planet of Skaar.

Who is Skaar?

Skaar, a character created in 2007 by John Romita Jr. and Greg Pak, is the child that the Hulk had while he was exiled on Planet Hulk. Although Bruce Banner and the Hulk were combined into one body and one consciousness in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the hero’s comic book past was considerably more difficult. This is due to the fact that the Hulk, along with a few other alters, continuously battles to regain control of the body he shares with Banner.

Similar to Moon Knight in the MCU, Banner has fully formed alters that are attempting to take over his body. Some of them are gamma-infused monsters that can quickly and easily destroy an entire city. Because of this, the Illuminati conclude that the Hulk is too dangerous to remain on Earth in Marvel Comics. In order to send Banner and a very irate Hulk to Sakaar, they deceive Banner into boarding a spacecraft that they send into a black hole.

The Planet Hulk plot revolves around the Hulk assuming total control over Banner’s body, evolving into a gladiator on Sakaar, and ultimately aiding in the liberation of the planet from a cruel government. The section when the Emerald Giant becomes the leader of a resistance was left out of the storyline’s adaptation for the MCU’s Thor: Ragnarok. But that section is crucial to the history of the Hulk since it is there that the former Avenger first meets Caiera, the woman who would become his wife as he strives to master his inner wrath and save Sakaar. Together, Hulk and Caiera strive to liberate Sakaar, after which they take control of the planet. Even Caiera gets pregnant, which gives the Hulk hope for the future. Caiera is tragically killed by a self-destruction sequence from the spacecraft that transported Hulk to Sakaar.

All right, everyone. The Hulk was expelled from Earth after being deceived by some of his closest friends, but he still managed to create a life for himself in which he found love and meaning. And then an explosion occurs, which the Hulk believes was a deliberate act by the Illuminati to kill the monster. It’s understandable why the Hulk intends to invade Earth with the help of the Sakaar troops and decimate the whole cast of Marvel heroes. World War Hulk is the name of that exquisitely penned occurrence.

When the Hulk departs Sakaar, he is unaware that Caiera used her own abilities to shield her womb from the explosion when she was ensnared in it, saving the lives of her twin sons and giving birth to Skaar and Hiro-Kala. Hiro-Kala was born into slavery, did not inherit his father’s superhuman abilities, and went on to become a villain seeking retribution against the Hulk. Skaar, on the other hand, possesses all of the Hulk’s gamma powers, including superstrength and regeneration, which have allowed him to survive on his own since birth. Although Skaar and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law have distinct histories in Marvel Comics, some elements about Skaar make them comparable.

First, She-Hulk is the first hero Skaar faces when he comes to Earth searching for his father. Besides that, Skaar is trained by Banner during a moment in which the Hulk persona is being repressed – which could also be happening with the Smart Hulk merging in the MCU.

Skaar is one of the members of the Dark Avengers, a superteam willing to work on the gray moral area the regular Avengers don’t dare tread, which sounds a lot with where the MCU is leading the Thunderbolts after that scene with Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) and the US Agent (Wyatt Russell) at the end of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The moment is ripe for introducing Skaar, and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law might already have given us a few clues about how they’ll do it.

The way Hulk’s blood worked on Walters and the fact that Hulk goes jet setting in a Sakaarian spaceship seems to indicate that he’ll have his adventures in space and might even become aware of his son, Skaar, who could then make his way to the She-Hulk series, even if all this doesn’t play out in Season 1.
