She-Hulk is off to a great start, taking on comedic tones as the titular character learns to control her powers with the help of Hulk, or Bruce Banner, the Avengers team member. Part of their conversation has been about Captain America, or Steve Rogers’ virginity, and Banner confirmed that the first Avenger isn’t a virgin.

“Steve Rogers is not a virgin. He lost his virginity to a girl in 1943 on the USO tour”, Banner said.

While speaking to io9, She-Hulk showrunner Jessica Gao revealed that Marvel boss Kevin Feige was all for exploring this avenue and putting all doubts to bed.

“Kevin was really into that joke and he actually was the one who volunteered the answer to that question”, Gao said, adding, “I couldn’t believe that we got to definitively settle that issue once and for all.”

Speaking to Vanity Fair, Chris Evans, who plays Rogers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) noted, “He’s probably a virgin. He’s probably a virgin! I don’t know when it would’ve happened.”

After the She-Hulk episode, the actor responded with a cryptic tweet where he followed a series of laughing emoticons with one that indicated he was staying mum on the issue. Actor Mark Ruffalo, who plays Banner, replied “Sorry bro. It was under extreme duress.”

It was indicated that Captain America moved from one crisis to another, which didn’t give him much time for personal relations. He had a flame for Peggy Carter, but being on ice for several years saw his love grow old while he remained the same. Apart from that, MCU has only shown Rogers share one kiss with Sharon, Peggy’s niece.

While Rogers might move from one emergency to another, Gao ensured that She-Hulk isn’t just about the character’s heroics, but also explores her life as a woman.
