After Kim Kardashian and the “Runaway” rapper parted ways earlier this year, Ye recently referred to the reality star as his “wife” on Revolt TV’s Drink Champs on November 4.

“My wife—’cause she’s still my wife—ain’t no paperwork,” Ye said of Kim when recalling a time when the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star helped him with a minor issue. After more than six years of marriage, the SKIMS founder filed for divorce from the musician in February.

Despite their separation, the two have been supportive of each other’s professional endeavours, with Kim attending Ye’s promotional DONDA events in August and Ye most recently showing his support for Kim’s current projects, including her Saturday Night Live hosting debut last month.

During the interview, Ye also addressed Kim’s recent SNL episode, in which she joked about divorcing the star due to his “personality.”

“SNL making my wife say ‘I divorced him’ because they just wanted to get that bar off,” the rapper said in the interview. “And I ain’t never even seen the papers, we’re not even divorced.”

“That ain’t no joke to me,” he added, “My kids want their parents to stay together. I want us to be together.”

However, in light of Kanye’s latest declaration, the singer officially responded to Kim’s divorce file on April 9 in a court document previously acquired by E! News, asking for shared physical and legal custody of their four children.

Following the filing, Kim opened up about the breakup on the final season of KUTWK. Kanye has been linked to Irina Shayk since then, while Kim has been making news with Pete Davidson after the two were seen holding hands at Knott’s Scary Farm. This came just two weeks after the two locked lips for a Saturday Night Live sketch, but a source told E! News that they are “just friends.”
