The renowned Australian singer Sia has collaborated with NASA for her new music video “Floating Through Space”. Her project also features the renowned French DJ David Guetta. Sia’s song video celebrates the Ingenuity Mars Helicopter, the very first powered and controlled flight of an aircraft on another planter.

The announcement came in through NASA as they tweeted, “Sound the epic collaboration alarm! We teamed up with music icon Sia to celebrate the upcoming first flight of the Ingenuity Mars Helicopter.”

Nasa JPL also tweeted, “We’re all floatin’ through space. Sia created a fun, fact-filled music video featuring the Ingenuity Mars Helicopter as it gets closer to attempting the first powered flight on another planet.”

The Ingenuity Mars helicopter, which was connected with the Perseverance rover, landed on Mars on February 18. The helicopter was built to be self-sufficient and is extremely crucial to the Perseverance’s mission into the unknown.

“Floating through Space” was also featured in Sia’s directorial debut Music. The movie was widely criticized for its representation of nonverbal individuals with autism by a neurotypical actor, Maddie Ziegler.
