Singer Grace VanderWaal, who rose to fame after winning America’s Got Talent in 2016, has joined the short video app TikTok and has left fans shocked with her new look.

The 16-year-old singer-songwriter, who sported a Bob cut in America’s Got Talent at the age of 12, had won people’s hearts by performing original songs on the ukelele while bearing a sharp resemblance to American singer Taylor Swift.

However, VanderWaal, instead of rocking a sharp Bob, has now shaved her head. The singer debuted her new look on her new TikTok account, reported Yahoo news. She also shared her photos on her Instagram account.

In the TikTok video, VanderWaal wrote in the video, “When I meet someone and the first thing they do is tell me about their ’embarrassing’ childhood fascination with me,” before the audio says “I didn’t ask,” reported Yahoo news. The video, where she lip-synced “Here” by Alessia Cara, has over 2 million likes.

VanderWaal’s new look was said to be her “2016 Miley Cyrus phase” by one user while one wrote, “I feel like I should be concerned.”

Another user said, “She really cut her hair and changed herself completely,” reported Yahoo news.

However, the 16-year-old’s new look got praise from her fans, who appreciated her style.
