It’ll be 60 years since the release of the first James Bond movie this fall, and EON production has quite a celebration in store. A two-part charity auction will take place in September and the BFI will have screenings and in-conversation series later in the month.

Auction details

The auction has been titled Sixty Years Of James Bond and there are 60 items celebrating all 25 movies of the iconic British spy. It’ll take place on September 28 in London and there’ll be an online auction from September 15 to James Bond Day on October 5.

The Aston Martin DB5 headlines the auction. This stunt car was one of the replicas built for Daniel Craig’s last outing as 007 in No Time to Die. The Q Jet Boat from The World is Not Enough is also up for auction, as is Timothy Dalton’s signed tuxedo from Licence to Kill.

A five-night stay at the Fleming villa in Jamaica, where author Ian Fleming penned the story and a Swarovski-encrusted, gold-plated egg like the Faberge from Octopussy is also up for grabs.

Proceeds will go to charities including those helping former members of three UK intelligence agencies and UK Special Forces.

BFI celebrates Bond

The British Film Insitute will also pay homage to Bond with the James Bond At 60 Weekender from September 20 to October 2. There’ll be conversations with Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, the producers.

BFI IMAX will also screen three of the latest Bond movies which star Craig.
