Sonali Phogat, BJP Leader and Bigg Boss 14 contestant, died of a heart attack in Goa on Monday night. Her fans, associates and a number of BJP members have offered condolences on Instagram and Twitter. Her last reel on Instagram was of her in Goa wearing a pink colored headdress.

The 41-year-old participated in the 14th season of the popular reality show Bigg Boss. She entered BB home on day 79 as a wildcard contestant. She was often lauded by the host Salman Khan, who during one of the episodes said she was the only one in the house made no mistakes.

During the family special week of Bigg Boss, Phagot got emotional upon seeing her daughter Yashodhara who had visited the set to surprise her mother. 

Phogat also got into fights with co-contestants Rubina Dilaik and Nikki Tamnoli.

Phogat also reportedly fell in love with another co-contestant, Aly Goni, because of which she was widely age-shamed on social media. She, however, confessed that her feelings were pure and that she had no malice in her heart.

She was evicted out on day 113. Her elimination was announced by late actor Siddhartha Shukla. ,

“Bigg Boss is India’s biggest reality show, so I was very excited to join it. I got to learn a lot. But I wasn’t expecting to be eliminated so soon, at least not this week. I was expecting it when I first joined the show because I wasn’t fitting in with the other contestants. However, this time even Siddharth Shukla said that I was doing well and that I was seen,” she had said after leaving the home.
