Sophie Turner is suing Joe Jonas to allow their two young kids to return to her home in England.
The actress filed the lawsuit in a Manhattan court requesting to secure “the immediate return of children wrongfully removed or wrongfully retained.” She has alleged that her estranged husband is refusing to let their two young daughters return to their “forever home” in England.
The “Game of Thrones” star claimed that Jonas has taken control of their kids’ passports in spite of their previous agreement that their daughters, aged 3 and 1, would live in the UK amid their split. As per the agreement, she would come to New York and collect their daughters after the actress wrapped filming a project in the UK.

However, when Turner arrived on September 17, Jonas allegedly wouldn’t let the kids leave. “The Father has prevented the children’s return to England, which is a breach of the Mother’s rights of custody under English law, England being the children’s habitual residence,” the suit says.
Meanwhile, in another detail that has come to light about the pair’s ongoing divorce, Turner claimed in the lawsuit Thursday that she “found out” about Jonas’ divorce filing “through the media.” According to the court documents obtained by Page Six she said that her four-year marriage’s “breakdown … happened very suddenly.”
