Veteran Korean actor Kim Min-Kyung has died recently, confirmed her agency. The actor died in a Seoul hospital and the cause of her death has not been revealed by her team. She was 61. Min-Kyung, who started her acting career in 1979 as a member of the Shinhyup Theater Company has acted in several movies and shows for over 40 years.

Released in 2007, Someone Behind You is a Korean horror drama film. Written, directed and co-produced by Oh Ki-hwan, the film is based on the manhwa ‘It’s Two People’ by Kang Kyung-ok. Manhwa is a Korean term for comics.

Someone Behind you revolves around a young woman who tries to escape what seems to be a family curse that is killing members of her family one by one. Kim Min-Kyung plays the protagonist’s mother in the movie. 

Tazza: The hidden card

Tazza: The hidden card is a 2014 South Korean gambling film directed by famous director Kang Hyeong-cheol based on Huh Young-man and Kim Se-Yeong’s manhwa of the same name. The film’s first part Tazza: One-Eyed Jack, was released in 2019.

The film is based on the situation of Ham Dae-Gil who enters the gambling world and is then set up as a fall guy in a crooked deal. To get revenge, he enters a final game which could be fatal to the loser.

Flower of the prison (series)

Released in 2016, Flower of the prison is a Korean television series. It is a period drama set in the Joseon dynasty. The story revolves around the life of Ok-nyeo (Jin Se-yeon), a girl who was born and raised in prison, and her adventures with the mysterious Yun Tae-won. 

When the Camellia Blooms (series)

When the Camellia Blooms is a Korean television series. Released in 2019, the show became the highest-rated mini-series drama of the year with a single episode rating of 23.8%. 

The series is based on the love experience of a single mother who moves to the fictional town of Ongsan and opens a bar named Camellia. Six years later, Dong-Baek meets playful Yong-Sik, who declares his love for her.
