San Diego Comic-Con is back in full swing after two long years and the biggest studios are making announcements of their future franchises and upcoming projects along with their casting. 

The Marvel Animation Panel revealed the very first images of ‘Spider-Man: Freshman Year’ in SDCC 2022. The new images for the upcoming Disney+ series gave the audience an up-close look of the characters and costumes that will be featured in the new animated series. 

‘Spider-Man: Freshman Year’ will be released in 2024 by Disney+. A lot of details were given by the animation panel in the SDCC convention.  They have provided a list of guest stars that include Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, a member of the Runaways, and Norman Osborn. Nico Minoru will be playing Peter Parker’s best friend and Lonnie Lincoln, Amadeus Cho, Harry Osborn will also be seen in this upcoming animated series. 

The concept art of the animated series was also unveiled and it showed Peter Parker in various superhero costumes. The panelists have announced that Charlie Cox will voice Daredevil and Paul F. Thomkins will voice Bentley Whittman.

They have also revealed the title of the second season of the animated series much before the launch of its first season. The second season of the show would focus on Peter Parker’s sophomore year and it would be titled, ‘Spider-Man: Sophomore Year’.

Spider-Man: Freshman Year will join the slate of animated Spider-Man projects. Prior to this series there will also be two other prequels of Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will have their respective releases in 2023 and 2024.

Tomorrow is the last day of the SDCC convention.  Mayans MC will have a special screening along with a panel discussion about Season 5 and the behind-the-scenes of the most recent season of TV series. The closing ceremony will feature special guests like Simu Liu, Rosario Dawson and William Zabka.
